John C. Metz – Chairman and CEO
On board since our inception in December 2008, John leads by example, putting his years of success in the franchise vertical to work to guide and build the Hurricane Grill and Wings® brand. Since 2002 John has been president of RREMC, LLC and president of Continuum Courtyards, LLC. These companies, and affiliates of these companies, own, operate, and/or manage restaurants and hotels, including Denny’s, Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, and senior living facilities. In addition, John is president of RREMC IV, LLC, a franchisee of Dairy Queen. His previous experience includes being president of Roadhouse Grill and a former franchisee and operator of Bennigan’s restaurants.

Martin O’Dowd – Vice Chairman
Martin is a well-known restaurant industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. He has been chief executive officer of three public restaurant companies over the past 20 years. Martin has immense expertise and knowledge of the business and a proven track record of building highly successful organizations. Prior to joining Hurricane Grill & Wings®, he served as president and CEO of Famous Dave’s of America in Minneapolis, successfully developing the organization from 18 units in the Midwest into a 130-unit national concept. Prior to this, Martin was president and chief operating officer of Rainforest Café. His experience also includes executive positions with Elephant & Castle, Hard Rock Café International, Steak & Ale, and Holiday Inn Worldwide.

Kevin Kruse – Chief Development Officer
Kevin is a multifaceted franchise executive, with a broad range of experience in sales and operations, franchise law, business development, market mapping and site selection, and management of single and multi-unit operations. Most recently Kevin was vice president of franchise development for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, developing and managing all franchise recruiting and real estate site selection for Einstein Brothers Bagels and Manhattan Bagel. Prior to that, Kevin had national responsibility as senior director of franchise development and site selection at International Dairy Queen. During his tenure he signed over 180 franchisees, opened 141 new restaurants, and generated $3.9 million in franchise license and multi-unit development agreement fees. Before this he held Senior level executive positions at Arby’s, Bennigan’s, and Holiday Inn. Kevin is also a franchisee of SUBWAY restaurants. Kevin is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
