Hurricane Grill & Wings, a casual-dining franchise known for its never-frozen, jumbo wings and more than 35 signature sauces and rubs, announced that it wrapped 2013 with 15 new locations and seven new multi-unit development agreements. Hurricane Grill & Wings’ new restaurants included locations in Iowa, New York, Georgia, Colorado, Texas, Alabama, Florida, and more.
“We achieved considerable growth milestones in 2013; not only did we have 15 new openings, but we also signed seven new multi-unit development agreements, expanding the franchise even further,” says Martin O’Dowd, president, Hurricane Grill & Wings. “With positive comp sales for the past 22 quarters, we are poised for another banner year in 2014.”
Hurricane Grill & Wings expects to open 18 new units this year, in addition to a location in Lindenhurst, New York, that opened in January and the next in Cape Coral, Florida, in March. The rest will follow suit, opening in Florida, Minnesota, Texas, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, and Arizona as well as Virginia and Tennessee for the first time through year’s end.
Generating significant business buzz, Hurricane Grill & Wings appeared in Entrepreneur’s “Top 500 Franchises for 2014.” They also earned a spot on Franchise Business Review’s “Top 200 Franchise Systems for 2014.”
The chain’s easygoing, fun island atmosphere coupled with its extensive menu of items cooked fresh to order has made it a popular spot with diners for almost 20 years. The franchise operates more than 57 locations across the country.
