With the International Franchise Association conference in Las Vegas starting this weekend, I have had the chance to discuss the annual conferences we attend, and find of real value, with some close friends and associates. It’s interesting to see how over the years a list of must attend, most valuable, best run conferences are on everyone’s list. Aside from the IFA event, I attend the MUFCO in Vegas, Restaurant Leadership in Scottsdale, MUFSO in Dallas, and Restaurant Finance in Vegas as our core events. Other members of our management team attend the NRA show in Chicago, ICSC in Vegas and regionally along with one of the big commodity purchasing events in Orlando every year. It seems that between these industry events, our annual Hurricane Grill & Wings Franchise Conference and annual Regional Franchisee Town Hall Meetings, along with the occasional franchise expo show somewhere around the country, we are always prepping for the next event. I will say that as a brand we have benefited greatly from the relationships, reputation and introductions we have established at many of these events, and it is one reason why Hurricane Grill & Wings is garnering so much attention as a brand.
